TtT

IAM4RE just handed the mic to its trainers

At the IP Ambassador Summer Summit in Split, Croatia, the project launched its Train-the-Trainer (TtT) Programme, the piece that turns a strong course into a growing network. It is the moment the MOOC and Training Suite were building towards, and it changes what IAM4RE can now do across Europe. Here is the problem the programme solves. Good training content on Intellectual Asset Management (IAM), Knowledge Valorisation (KV) and Standardisation only goes as far as the people delivering it. Hand it to the wrong facilitator and even the sharpest material falls flat. Hand it to someone who knows how to adapt it, and it spreads.

Not more content: better delivery

The TtT Programme does not add another module to explore and learn. It trains the trainers: knowledge transfer professionals, research managers, innovation support staff and other institutional multipliers who already understand IAM and KV but need the tools to teach it well.
That means facilitation technique. Audience adaptation. Pathway design. The craft of running a session that actually lands, rather than one that simply gets through the slides.

To make that possible, the programme equips participants with practical guidance, real case studies, assessment tools and implementation materials, everything needed to take IAM4RE's content and reshape it for a specific institution, audience or context.

Why this matters more than it looks

Scale is the real prize here. IAM4RE cannot put a trainer in every Technology Transfer Office (TTOs), Knowledge Transfer Office (KTOs), Public Research Organisation (PROs) and Higher Education Institution in Europe (HEI). It can, however, put trained trainers there, and that is a far more sustainable route to impact. Launching the programme at the IP Ambassador Summer Summit was deliberate. The summit's audience of institutional representatives and trainers is precisely who the TtT Programme was built for. With its launch, the wider IAM4RE e-learning ecosystem, MOOC, Training Suite and TtT, is now complete and working as one.

Your turn

If you sit inside a TTO, KTO, PRO or HEI and have been waiting for a way to build IAM and KV expertise in-house rather than borrow it, this is that way.
