IAM4RE.eu is redefining how entrepreneurship is understood and supported within the research and academic sectors. By shifting the focus from traditional intellectual property (IP) to intellectual asset (IA) valorisation and standardisation, the project supports Public Research Organisations (PROs) and Academic Institutions (AcIs) in making better use of their research outcomes.

It places particular emphasis on early-stage IA management—crucial for research spin-offs—and provides innovative educational resources such as a modular training suite, a Massive Open Online Course (MOOC), and a "train-the-trainer" programme. These are complemented by practical tools and policy guidance, all developed in line with EU standards to ensure long-term, scalable impact.

Led by a consortium of seven European organisations, the project is designed with sustainability at its core. IAM4RE.eu aims to strengthen how PROs and AcIs value and manage their intellectual assets by providing structured training, clear policy direction, and improved support services.

The initiative promotes a more entrepreneurial mindset within the research community and supports the journey from research to real-world application. It also encourages greater alignment with EU governance frameworks by fostering the adoption of standardisation practices.

In doing so, IAM4RE.eu helps build a more vibrant and collaborative European Research Area—where knowledge can thrive, ideas are turned into action, and research has a meaningful impact on people’s lives.

The IAM4RE.eu project is funded by the Horizon Europe programme under Grant Agreement No. 101206372 and is managed by the European Health and Digital Executive Agency (HADEA).
