The mentoring services addresses five recurring IAM challenges and include:

  1. Strategic Intellectual Asset Management Planning. Supports early, structured decision-making on how intellectual assets generated in a project or portfolio should be managed across their lifecycle.
  2. Non-Patentable Intellectual Assets Management and Valorization. Operationalises valorisation pathways for intellectual assets that cannot or should not be patented (data, software, methods, knowhow, networks). It gives technology transfer offices and researchers a legitimate, structured way to demonstrate value creation beyond patents, particularly relevant for social sciences and humanities and interdisciplinary research
  3. Standardization Road-Mapping. Enables early, realistic decisions on whether and how standardisation can support uptake, interoperability, or impact. It demystifies standardisation for nonexperts and makes “no standardisation” a valid, documented outcome.
  4. Integrated Open Science and Open Innovation in Intellectual Assets Management. Provides governance support for openness decisions in collaborative research.
  5. Spin-off Launchpad. Supports evidence-based decisions on whether a spinoff is the right valorisation pathway, or whether alternatives (licensing, collaboration, standardisation) are more appropriate.
