Training Suite – Module 1 Deep Dive Webinar
Intellectual Asset Management (IAM)
Date: 12 March 2026
Level: Basic Tier
Format: Interactive webinar (deep dive + discussion)
This webinar provides an interactive deep dive into Training Suite Module 1: Intellectual Asset Management, building on the module’s core learning objectives and creating space for discussion, clarification and exchange around participants’ experiences and challenges.
While Module 1 introduces the foundational concepts of Intellectual Asset (IA) management for knowledge valorisation, this webinar is designed to go beyond the training materials, allowing participants to explore key concepts in more depth, ask questions, and reflect on how IA management applies to their own organisational and project contexts.
About Module 1
Module 1 introduces Intellectual Asset Management as a foundational element of knowledge valorisation, explicitly grounded in the EU Guiding Principles for Knowledge Valorisation and the Codes of Practice on the Management of Intellectual Assets and on Standardisation.
The module establishes a shared understanding of Intellectual Assets beyond formal Intellectual Property rights, including data, software, know-how and other research outputs, and explains why their systematic management is essential for achieving sustainable impact. It also introduces the IA management lifecycle—identification, evaluation, protection, utilisation and disclosure—alongside governance structures, roles and institutional routines supporting effective valorisation.
In parallel, the module positions standardisation as a complementary valorisation pathway alongside licensing, collaboration and policy uptake, within the Horizon Europe framework, forming the conceptual foundation of the IAM4RE Training Suite.
